Simon Lownds
Managing Director
Simon specialises in the recruitment of senior managerial, leadership and board level positions. He works with a select number of Private Equity houses recruiting senior individuals into their portfolio businesses on a global basis. He also works closely with multi-nationals across a range of market sectors and a limited number of SME’s.
He has a long history of working at the top level within the recruitment industry. He joined the Burns Carlton board of directors in 2004 where he was responsible for developing Burns Carlton’s presence across a number of key vertical markets.
Prior to Burns Carlton, he was Head of Consulting Services for Strategi Group, and was an Associate Director at TMP Hudson, developing market leading technical operations and general management practice across the UK. Simon is also a Director of Mackinnon Bruce International.
Andrew Bruce
Director
Currently Managing Director of Mackinnon Bruce International and Director of SIS Executive, Andrew has 10 years senior level recruitment experience. Andrew specialises in the recruitment of senior engineering, technical, operations and commercial professionals in the International Energy Sector.
Post degree Andrew joined UK Executive Search Firm Mackenzie Stuart where he worked his way up from Consultant in the Industrial Sector to Divisional Director for Oil & Gas and Water. Following this Andrew joined a former group business Talk to Neon to establish an International Energy Division.
Andrew established and incorporated Mackinnon Bruce International in early 2012 with the primary aim to become a leading and trusted supplier of senior level recruitment services in the International Energy Sector.
Andrew operates across verticals within Upstream/Downstream Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Mining & Metals and Water Treatment and has successfully delivered recruitment assignments in UK, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, USA, Brazil, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Oman, Qatar, Australia, China, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and Kazakhstan.
Shaun Bruce
Consultant
Shaun is our specialist in placing candidates in the Water and Power sectors and works with major international companies within the Water Treatment and Utilities sector.
By focussing on retained search assignments, he has developed strong relationships within both the Water and Utilities sectors in Asia, America, and Europe – as well as having solid links within the Oil and Gas sector.
Having graduated with Honours in Electrical Engineering in 2011, after working as an Engineering Technician for a UK manufacturing business, Shaun has the technical knowledge to identify high calibre candidates for our clients.
Ian Robinson
Finance Director
Ian’s accountancy background is in Business Services and Corporate Finance as an adviser to owner managed entrepreneurial businesses. He has advised management on business start-ups, acquisitions, disposals and management buy-outs/buy-ins.
As well as supporting SIS Executive as Finance Director, Ian also acts as Finance Director for a number of other recruitment companies operating across the UK.
Ian has a long standing history and relationship with SIS board members and is a key member of the team in terms of managing the growth of the business.
